Steve Anton, a native of South Florida, started swimming at 2, snorkeling at 4 years old and scuba diving in 1974. Steveʼs passion for diving led him to the U.S.Navy where he pursued his career as a Navy diver. In his time with the
Navy, Mr. Anton worked on all facets of diving, from ship and salvage diving
to dive supervisor and also a Explosive Ordnance Disposal diver. The Navy
is also where Mr. Anton began his work in the hyperbaric industry, aboard
the submarine USS Aspro, SSN-648, in 1978, as a Torpedoman and ships diver, he was also the ships hyperbaric chamber operator. Transitioning to the civilian sector, Mr. Anton became a NASDS scuba instructor in 1981. He also started his wound-care and hyperbaric career at Tallahassee Community Hospitalʼs multi-place hyperbaric unit in 1987.

Steve Anton is also an award-winning professional photographer and
videographer, who also volunteers his time with the “Now I Lay Me Down to
Sleep,” organization, he is also the historian and archivist for the
Submarine Veterans, South Florida base. Mr. Anton is on the board of
directors for the Boynton Beach Historical Society and is currently the
father to two wonderful dogs who were rescued.

Steve is now retired, due to his injuries, during his Navy service. In his spare time, on good days, he likes to take photos while snorkeling and snuba diving around his little bit of paradise in South Florida, where he still lives today.
